How the 1km / 2km rule works. When a school has more applicants than places, children are ranked by how close home is: those within 1km come first, then 1–2km, then beyond 2km — applied within each group (Singapore Citizens first, then PRs). Distance is the straight-line (“as the crow flies”) distance from your home to the school’s main gate, using SLA’s OneMap.
Living in the zone is a priority, not a guarantee — popular schools still ballot. And to keep the priority you must live at that address for at least 30 months from the start of the registration exercise.
Distances are indicative, measured straight-line from each condo to an approximate school location — close to, but not identical to, MOE’s official figure (which uses the exact main gate). Always confirm the exact distance with the official MOE / OneMap School Query before deciding. This list shows private condos only (landed homes and HDB flats can also qualify and aren’t listed here). Some smaller or newer projects may be missing.
